New on the Tribune History blog

An account of the hairdressers' strike of 1918 which closed West End saloons for seven weeks in 1918, leaving the great and the good sadly unshaven.
Tribune History is a new blog launched in association with Tribune Magazine and Tribune Cartoons to provide a sense of the long story behind today's hot political issues. Regular features include a "strike of the month" and short biographies of "old statesmen/women".
